Overnight camping is not allowed and there are no bathroom facilities, garbage
removal or water. Ample parking is available.
The Anna River is an excellent area for fishing Lake Trout, Splake, Brown Trout,
Coho Salmon, Smelt and Whitefish.
In early Spring, the Anna River attracts Northern Pike and Yellow Perch.
Spearing Northern Pike through the ice is very popular during the middle and
late ice fishing season.
Nearby Sand Point offers some great Smelt fishing through the ice. A "T" shaped
fishing pier has been added, extending out to a large, nearby weed bed and close
access to deep water. An excellent area for pier fishing or river wadding the
river's mostly sand bottom outlet.

Munising Bay's Anna River outlet spills out into the mostly frozen Bay having
more than a foot of lake ice.
Ice fishing for whitefish, lake trout, and splake is now in progress as
seasonal cold weather temps keep the Bay frozen for ice fisherman.
Ice fishermen are currently catching white fish and some splake and lake trout.
A few coho salmon have been taken and coho fishing is expected to improve as
they move in closer to river mouth to feed.
Colder weather is not expected to last and either will the ice on the Bay.
You have two options; one, ice fish the Bay while the ice holds out, or two,
start getting your gear ready for ice out fishing and the spill of winter's
run-off from Spring rivers and tributaries.
