The Clinch Knot

How the "Clinch" knot is tied.

This is highly recommended as an excellent knot for both flies and bait hooks, and is easily and quickly tied.


How the "Clinch" knot looks competely tiedTo tie the "Clinch" knot, all you have to do is to stick the end of the tippet through the eye of the fly, double it back against itself for four or five inches, give the fly several complete twists to wind the leader spirally around itself five or more times, thrust the end between the eye and the coils, hold on to it and pull tight.  This is an knot for monofilament.  Be sure to pull the knot up tight.
