The Clinch Knot
This is highly recommended as an excellent knot for both flies and bait hooks,
and is easily and quickly tied.
To tie the "Clinch" knot, all you have to do is to stick the end of the
tippet through the eye of the fly, double it back against itself for four or
five inches, give the fly several complete twists to wind the leader spirally
around itself five or
more times, thrust the end between the eye and the coils, hold on to it
and pull tight. This is an knot for monofilament. Be sure to pull
the knot up tight.
