Any bug repellent using a high percentage of  Deet,  can eat through plastics. Be extremely careful during  its use.  A small amount smudged on your digital camera's LCD  and it'll be ruined for good.  Use sparingly, and after use make sure you place it away from any plastics and/or electronic equipment.

With any insect repellent, avoid contact between it and your eyes, nose, mouth, genitals, and any open wounds that you may have.

Never place insect repellent directly on your hand palms while fishing.  Always apply insect repellent to the back sides of your hands and disperse over face, neck, hands, and arms etc.

DEET is dangerous when used over a protracted period of time; in fact, highly concentrated DEET is not sold in New York State due to these health concerns.
